Frankfurt Museum Libraries Facilities

Frankfurt’s museum libraries have created a joint online catalogue to make the holdings of the individual libraries more easily accessible on the worldwide web.

You can either browse the entire holdings of all the member libraries or look specifically in the individual libraries. To help you get started we recommend that you click on „Help“ (German language only) for hints on the best way to search. Please bear in mind that we are still in the process of cataloguing our holdings. So if you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact the relevant institution directly.

If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, try our list of links in the online catalogue (see “Links” in the blue toolbar). This will give you some well-proven specialist and archival hints for your research.

If you would like to visit our libraries in person, check out the addresses, contact names, opening hours and specialist subjects on our homepage, where you will find details of how to get there. Once you arrive, we are more than happy to provide any assistance you may need with your research. In order to ensure that the media are available to everyone at all times, they can be consulted only in the library reading rooms, where you can enjoy the privacy and calm you need to study them and, if necessary, make copies. The latest edition of the Frankfurt museum libraries brochure is available in all the reading rooms.
