Holdings and specialist collections:
The collection of type foundry owner Karl Klingspor (1868-1950) forms the core of the Klingspor Museum Library's holdings. It comprises 83,000 media units on international book and type art from 1900 to the present. These items include press editions, painters' and artists' books, illustrated books, picture books, bindings, modern manuscripts and calligraphic inscriptions as well as hand lettered tapestries, type specimens, type catalogues and posters. The library collects secondary literature on all areas.
The library is also the depository for the museum's collection items. They can be consulted in the reading room by appointment.
Theme-related presentations for groups will be organized by previous arrangement.
